ABOUT ME

At 17 years old, Shree triumphed over 10,000 competitors to become the Grand Prize Winner of the first-ever Google Global Science Fair in 2011. She presented her winning work to President Obama and directors of the National Institutes of Health, as well as students around the world.

Through these experiences, Shree also became a passionate advocate for better STEM education, which led her to co-found Piper Learning, Inc., a company creating educational toys for kids. She currently serves as co-CEO.

After graduating Harvard University in 2016, she joined the MD/PhD program at Duke University School of Medicine, where she recently completed her PhD on understanding metabolic changes in ovarian cancer metastasis and her MD in May 2023. She is now a resident physician at the University of Chicago.

She was honored on the 2023 Forbes 30 Under 30 for Science list.

STEM ADVOCACY
FOR ALL STUDENTS

I have been fortunate to speak to students around the world who have inspired my work as a mentor and STEM advocate. This was the motivation for my work with Girlstart, other STEM organizations, and Piper Learning, Inc.

FAMOUS FACES OF SUPPORT

I have been fortunate to meet remarkable influential role models in my STEM advocacy journey, including President Obama, Bill Nye, and many more. Their dedication towards our shared goal of better tools for STEM education has been inspiring to me.
